How does Invisalign treatment work?

Step 1 – Plan your new smile with us

If you are eligible for treatment with Invisalign aligners, we will first undergo a precise digital diagnosis. Using an intraoral scanner, we create a 3D scan of your teeth. Together, we will then develop a customized treatment plan that takes your personal wishes and needs into account. Thanks to our special planning software, we can present you with a preview of your new smile right away. Before treatment begins, you will also receive a cost estimate and, if desired, a customized installment plan.

Step 2 – From the first aligner fitting to everyday life

Your transparent Invisalign aligners for teeth straightening are custom-made for you. Their perfect fit is crucial to the success of your treatment. Therefore, we check that your aligners are fitting well at the beginning and at regular intervals of 6 to 8 weeks. By comparison, with conventional braces you usually have to visit the orthodontist's office for a check-up every 4 weeks. You should wear the aligners for around 22 hours a day and change them yourself every 1 to 2 weeks. A colored signal system shows you when the next aligner should be used. The transparent Smart Track material of the aligners is impressive: With gentle pressure, your teeth are gradually corrected. Using the mobile Invisalign app for smartphones, you can schedule appointments and track your personal treatment progress at any time.

Step 3 – Maintain your new smile

Most patients notice a change in their teeth after just three months. The first results are usually visible after just six months. And your Invisalign treatment is completed much faster than with conventional braces, with treatment lasting as little as 12 to 18 months. Our invisible retainers for the inside of the teeth help to ensure the permanent correction of your teeth. Our retainers are also custom-made for you and are significantly more robust and durable than conventional braces.

What are the advantages of Invisalign aligners compared to other dental braces?

Treatment with Invisalign aligners is uncomplicated, practical, and effective. The transparent aligners can be easily removed for eating or brushing. Check-ups are only required every 6 to 8 weeks, instead of every 4 weeks as with conventional braces. Important, especially for children: If an Invisalign aligner gets lost, you simply receive a new set. Invisalign aligners enable both simple and extensive tooth alignment and are suitable for all ages: for those with a full dentition as well as a mixture of baby teeth and permanent teeth. The patented SmartTrack material corrects the position of your teeth in small increments with gentle pressure. However, treatment is faster than with conventional braces: many people see and feel an improvement after just 3 to 6 months. The average treatment time is only 12 to 18 months.

How much does Invisalign treatment cost?

The cost of straightening your teeth with Invisalign aligners depends on the type of misalignment you have, the duration of treatment required, and your personal correction needs.

Before treatment begins, we will provide you with a binding cost estimate. Upon request, we will be happy to create a personalized financing plan for you to spread the treatment costs over smaller installments.

Will my health insurance cover the costs of Invisalign treatment?

Some private health insurance companies now cover the costs of Invisalign aligners. Information about coverage or possible subsidies can be obtained from your insurance company. Please contact us if you need assistance with your reimbursement application. Statutory health insurance (GKV) does not cover these services.
